Tom Thumb Lake
At roughly one and a half acres this lake has been designed for junior and anglers with disabilities. Despite the steep banks there are 6 wheelchair friendly double swims with gradual ramps giving safe access. The opposite bank has stepped access to comfortable double swims, ideal for Dads and Lads. These swims have limited access.
There are Junior tuition days arranged by the Park Ranger service on certain days during the year. Juniors will receive expert advice from qualified professional coaches on fishing methods and how to conduct themselves on the bank. Details can be found on the Eastbrookend Country Park website, or from the Millennium Centre at the park.
The lake has been stocked with Roach, Rudd and Crucian-carp. There are also good size Bream, Tench, and perch to be had by anglers fishing to the many gravel bars with tip or waggler rods. There are still some large Carp to be encountered plus the odd Pike showing.
This water is quite deep close in with depths to 8 feet, so it is advisable to ensure adequate supervision for younger anglers. The swims are built to accommodate this arrangement.
Day tickets are also available on the bank from the Bailiff.
NO NIGHT FISHING ALLOWED.
